Refund Policy
Skill Versed Ltd · skillversed.com · Applies to the Placement Assistance and Employer Ready programmes
The short version
Change your mind within 14 days — full refund, no reason needed.
Not right for you after 30 days of classes — full refund of your Programme Fee, if you did the work. Claim between Day 31 and Day 32.
Employer Ready programme only: if we do not arrange your 5 interviews, you receive a full refund, automatically.
Which routes apply to you
This policy covers both of our programmes. Routes 1 and 2 are identical on both. Route 3 applies only to the Employer Ready programme — and that difference is the difference between the two products.
| Route | Interview Ready | Employer Ready |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Cancel within 14 days | Yes | Yes |
| 2. 30-Day Assurance | Yes | Yes |
| 3. Interview shortfall refund | No | Yes |
| 4. Withdrawal after Day 35 | No refund | No refund |
Route 1 — Cancel within 14 days
Both programmes
You may cancel within 14 calendar days of the day after you sign up, for any reason or none.
What you get: a full refund of everything you have paid, including the Registration Fee.
When: within 14 calendar days of us receiving your cancellation. This is a statutory deadline under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and we cannot extend it — not to run checks, and not to wait on our payment processor.
How: email support@skillversed.com with any clear statement that you are cancelling. No reason, no form, no exit interview, no "verification call". We will never make any of those a condition.
Two things that can reduce a 14-day refund
Live sessions already delivered. If you asked us to start teaching before your 14 days were up, we may charge for the sessions actually delivered — the Live Instruction portion of your fee, divided by 52, times the sessions delivered. This can never exceed 25% of your Programme Fee, and it is nil if you attended none, however much you downloaded.
Digital content, if you chose Option A. If you expressly asked us to unlock the recorded content early, and acknowledged in writing that you were giving up the cancellation right for that part, that part is not refundable. Everything else still is. If you were not given that choice properly, or never accessed the content, it is refunded in full.
Route 2 — The 30-Day Assurance
Both programmes
If, after completing the first 30 days of classes, you decide the Programme is not right for you, we will refund 100% of your Programme Fee. This route is about whether the teaching suits you, so it is identical on both programmes. The Registration Fee is not refunded under this route.
When to claim: between Day 31 and Day 32 inclusive, counted from your first class. This window is strict.
The conditions — three, and no others
| Condition | What it means |
|---|---|
| 1. Tell us in time | Email support@skillversed.com between Day 31 and Day 32. You do not have to say why, and we will not ask. |
| 2. You did the work | At least 100% attendance at live sessions in the first 30 days, and every assignment, quiz and project submitted, within the deadline assigned. Your marks do not matter — only a missing submission counts against you. |
| 3. Good faith | You have not committed serious misconduct as defined in your Agreement. |
What we will never require
We will not make this refund conditional on attending optional sessions or community activity, on any minimum login count, on any particular mark, on an exit interview, or on giving a reason. If you meet the three conditions, the refund is payable — and we will not add a new condition after you claim.
We send you a written statement of your attendance and submissions on Day 25, so you always know where you stand. If we fail to send it, we cannot refuse your claim on the basis of a shortfall it would have shown.
When you are paid: we confirm the outcome in writing within 10 Business Days, and pay within 45 calendar days of approval. If we refuse, we must tell you which condition you did not meet and show you the underlying data. You can appeal.
Route 3 — The Employer Ready
Employer Ready programme only
We guarantee to arrange at least 03 interviews with 5 different employers during your 90-day Interview Window. If we do not, you receive a 100% refund of your Programme Fee — automatically. You do not have to ask.
The guarantee applies once you are Interview-Ready: 85% attendance, all work submitted, all 9 Core Milestones passed, and your CV, LinkedIn, portfolio and personal branding approved. These exist to make sure you are genuinely prepared to meet an employer — your marks and grades do not affect them.
How the refund works
- It is automatic. You do not have to apply, ask, or file a claim.
- Within 10 Business Days of your Interview Window closing, we write to you stating how many qualifying interviews were arranged, naming each employer and date.
- If it was fewer than 5, we refund 100% of your Programme Fee within 45 calendar days.
- If we are late, interest is added automatically at 4% above the Bank of England base rate — you do not have to ask.
This is an Employer Ready, not a job guarantee
We guarantee the thing we control: getting you in front of employers. We cannot guarantee the thing we do not control: their decision to hire you.
If we arrange your 5 interviews and you do not receive a job offer, no refund is payable on that ground. The guarantee has been met. A refund under this route arises only where we fail to arrange 5 qualifying interviews — not where those interviews do not lead to a job. This is stated in your Key Facts Statement, which you sign before paying.
If we disagree about the count
If you think we did not arrange 5 qualifying interviews and we say we did, the burden is on us to prove it — by producing, for each interview, the employer, the date, the role, and evidence the employer received your CV and confirmed the interview. If we cannot produce that evidence for an interview, it does not count.
Placement Assistance carries no equivalent
The Placement Assistance programme has no guaranteed number of interviews and no refund if you complete it without a job. If you want the outcome-linked guarantee, choose the Employer Ready programme, or upgrade to it at any time up to Day 30, paying only the difference at the price you would have paid on day one.
Route 4 — Withdrawing after Day 35
Both programmes
After Day 35, withdrawing does not entitle you to a refund. Your place in the cohort carries a fixed cost of delivery and cannot be resold once the cohort is running.
At our discretion we may offer a partial refund, calculated by deducting from what you have paid: the Registration Fee, the pro-rata cost of live sessions delivered to the date of withdrawal, and any 1:1 session fees. We provide the itemised calculation in writing within 10 Business Days.
If you pay by instalments or third-party finance: no refund is available under this route, and your instalments remain payable. This never affects Routes 1, 2 or 3, which apply whatever your payment method.
How we pay refunds
Both programmes
- To your original payment method, in the original currency. If that is not possible, by bank transfer to an account in your name.
- If you paid in another currency, we refund the exact amount you paid, in the currency you paid it. We absorb exchange-rate movement and our own processor fees, and we never deduct our processing costs from your refund.
- Where you financed your fee through a lender, we pay the refund directly to the lender to reduce or clear your loan, pay any surplus to you, and confirm when the loan is settled.
- The Registration Fee is refundable during the 14-day cancellation period. Outside it, it is refunded only where a route above expressly includes it.
If we say no
If we refuse a refund, we tell you in writing, state exactly which condition was not met, and produce the underlying data — your attendance log, submission record, progress reports or interview records.
You can appeal. Your appeal is decided by someone who was not the original decision-maker, with written reasons, and it is for us to justify our decision — not for you to disprove it.
Things that will never be held against you
Criticising us, publicly or privately · making a complaint or approaching a regulator · raising a dispute with your bank · asking for a refund, repeatedly or angrily · poor marks or failed assessments · not logging in often · declining to appear in our marketing.
We will not suspend your access to classes, your certificate or your career support because you have raised a dispute.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first, we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. But nothing in this policy limits your legal right to raise a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank, card issuer or payment provider, and exercising that right will never be treated as misconduct or affect your place on the Programme.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy removes or limits any right you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where this policy conflicts with such a right, your right prevails. If you live outside the United Kingdom, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your own country apply in addition, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts. Where this policy and your Learner Agreement differ, whichever is more favourable to you applies.
